Confirmation Class

The years of confirmation instruction are an exciting and challenging time of faith formation. Down through the ages the church has marked certain periods of life as vital in terms of discipleship. Confirmation does not prepare one to become a member of the church. We are members of the church dripping wet from the waters of baptism. Confirmation ministry is the church living up to the promises made when a child was baptized. The promise was to nurture and instruct the child in the faith given to the church—to teach the Bible, the Ten Commandments, the creeds, the Lord’s Prayer, and the sacraments of Holy Baptism and Holy Communion.

Beth Eden has a two year program for our confirmation students. The classes are during the school year (from September to early June), and are held from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Sunday afternoons twice a month

Beth Eden also participates in a campfirmation cluster at Lutherock once a year (in June). Campfirmation is a weeklong camp of learning, exploring, and fun at Lutherock in Newland, NC. For more information about Campfirmation click here.
